“The Greater Bay Area has a high-quality business environment， a prosperous economy， strong consumption power and demographic advantages，” stated by Lee Chee Kong， President of Carlsberg China， during the interview with SFC reporter.
In 2021， Carlsberg China signed an investment agreement for building a brewery in Foshan， with the goal of starting production in the second quarter of 2024. The annual production capacity will be expected to reach 500，000 kiloliters， with an annual output value of approximately 2 billion RMB.
Lee Chee Kong expressed that the reform and opening-up has put China onto the fast track， unleashing a vast consumer market， the rise of the middle class， and a growing demand for high-quality products. All of these factors have created favorable conditions for the development of Carlsberg in China.
